Ingredients :

- 500 g of cleaned almonds
- 500 g of granulated or caster sugar
- 500 g of butter
- 8 eggs
- powdered vanilla
- 2 cl of rum
- 2 rolled rounds of puff pastry (28 cm diameter and 0.5 cm thick)
Recipe :

Filling: Mix the crushed almonds
with the sugar and blend in the butter to form a paste. Then mix in
the eggs, one by one. Beat until you have a perfectly smooth mixture
and flavour with vanilla and rum.Spread the filling over the 2 rolled
pastry rounds. Using a brush, dampen the pastry edges with water so
that they stick together.Trim off the edges and coat the top with egg
for it to turn golden brown in the oven. Make a pattern of cuts in the
top.Cook at 200° C for 30 to 35 minutes.Serve warm. |
