History:

The first Praslines were created
in Montargis; In those days, we were in the reign of Louis XIII and
the Maréchal Duc de Plessis-Pralin, Minister and Peer of the realm
gallantly offered to the ladies of the Court, grilled and roughly
shaped almonds that were quickly known as "Praslins".
These exquisite sweets were the creation of one of the Maréchal's
Officer de bouche who founded the Maison de la Prasline in Montargis
"in a hostel near the church, near to the left side door". This is
currently the Mazet sweet shop that has jealously guarded the famous
production process of these inimitable delicacies.
As well as Praslines, there are Amandas, Lyettes, Passions, Mirabos,
Givrettes, Grelons, Fondues au Chocolat and Kaloudjas.
Delicate palates will not be able to resist the temptations of the
mixtures of nougat, grilled hazelnuts, dark and milk chocolate.
