As an independent
vineyard since 1635, our family domain is located near the village
of Mareau-les-Prés, on the left bank of the Loire, 12 kms to the
South West of Orléans.
The vineyard extends over 21 hectares spread over sandy-gravel and
limestone-clay soils.
Our annual production is 1,100 hectolitres split as ¾ red wines
and ¼ white wines.
For many years, our policy of favouring quality over quantity has
meant that we practice short pruning, a radical disbudding with
removal of double buds, and green grape harvesting when required,
as well as leaf growth thinning. |
Our aim is to
maintain the specific character of our "cru". We are always seeking
ways to improve, without going as far as producing technological wine.
Our Orléanais is a wine intended for wine lovers with discerning
palates.
When you visit our cellars, you will also be able to visit our
Winemaking Museum and discover the tools of yesteryear.
In our shop, you will find the complete selection of our Orléanais
"crus", not forgetting our "Pétillant nacré" – pearlescent sparkling
wine, produced from a blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and
Chardonnay, as well as our range of home made fruit juices.
