Whether it is from the Gâtinais or
Sologne, honey remains one of the Loiret's finest local products.
Gâtinais honey:

The Kings of France, who enjoyed staying
in the Montargis region, already appreciated this nectar derived from
the blossom of our fruit trees, for its smooth creaminess and refined
flavour.
Sologne
honey :

Here the bees burrow into woodland
blossoms (chestnut, heather, brambles) that confer a somewhat darker
colour and a more pronounced flavour to this typical honey from our
region.
Tip: Keep Gâtinais or Sologne honey at a temperature of 14° C, and if
possible in darkness, in order to retain all its flavour.
Idea: For breakfast – Mix cottage cheese with Gâtinais or Sologne
honey and add a few chopped and grilled almonds to start your day full
of energy.
