A cake known as "Le Loiret Gourmand" – The Loiret Delight, has been invented by the Loiret Pastry Chefs Guild, the Bakers Guild and the Loiret regional Council.

- Hard wheat semolina
- Pure fruit almonds from almond trees
- Fresh eggs
- Flour - type 45,
- "100% blossom" honey from the Gâtinais,
- Morello cherries
- Apricots
- Cleaned, crushed pistachio nuts
- Vanilla in cloves
- White chocolate
- Whipped cream

So what is "Le Loiret Gourmand"?:

It is a macaroon biscuit filled with semolina cream with Cointreau, also known as "semoulinade" and an apricot filling, covered in caramelised almonds. The recipe, jealously guarded by the pastry and baking professionals, is guaranteed to win your heart.
